Quality construction with a "Mad Men" aesthetic. The lobby is attractive, and the terrazzo floors are impeccable. When you enter, you may think you are in an office complex -- BB&T Bank is leasing the ground floor frontage, and there is a large space to be built out as a restaurant.
As for the units, the developer invested a boatload in custom cabinetry. And there are dozens of floorplans. Materials are first rate. But you may not love the views out your floor-to-ceiling windows, because you're looking into the Icon (next door) or onto Interstate-40.
In my opinion, the Terrazzo is second to the Adelicia. The quality finishes really stand out. On the other hand, the pool is a 30' stainless steel tub and the gym has only 4 machines, and you will have to grow used to that little "hum" from the Interstate. To sum it up, it's a beautiful interior with scant amenities and an Interstate location.

Class and society. The Adelicia stands elegantly apart from the rest. Every feature is just that much better at the Adelicia. The sandstone walls are smooth to the touch. The concierge is educated and well dressed. The art is appraised for more than $300,000. When you say, "I live at 900 20th Avenue South," rest assured, you live at the top of the world.

Think concrete is sexy? All units at the ICON feature stained concrete floors, exposed concrete beams, concrete ceilings. Don't get me wrong, the concrete looks good when paired with modern furniture. Just, bear in mind, there are a lot of hard surfaces and concrete is the backbone to this massive building.
And it is massive. The ICON has over 500 residents -- nearly double the size of any other residential building in town. So you will usually find the concierge multitasking with the FedEx guy and a line of visitors. And on a hot day the problems escalate quickly. Because the 9th floor pool is the coolest in town, they hire a guard to patrol the pool and limit owners to two visitors. Seriously? Residents pay $400+/mo for perks... not patrol. I ask, is the ICON too big for it's own good?
